CAP Hollywood Reflection 3

        This week, we finished the editing of the film, except for some minor changes to the death scene and the order...we might want to put the flashback of Kate and Amy before she freaks out about the turtle. It looks pretty good so far, Our main problem right now is making the plot of the short story clear, but I hope that the voiceover we plan to record will clear up the plot. The are only a few scenes with the turtle in the story, and it is difficult for the viewer to understand the significance of the turtle. We found simple music, but need to find a way to make it apply to the entire story...meaning also the death scene and ad scenes...I don't know whether we need to find another piece of music or not...hopefully not because finding good cc licensed music is REALLY hard.
        Our goal for this week is tho finish the entire film and turn it in on time Friday...

CAP Hollywood Reflection 2

This week, we finished our rough cut for our film. It looks pretty good so far, and I hope that Kyra will be able to make it in to help with editing soon. Our main problem right now is making the plot of the short story clear, hopefully without a voiceover. A voice over might be necessary though, as it is not always clear why she is freaking out. The are only a few scenes with the turtle in the story, and much of the story is composed of flashbacks. It is hard for the viewer to understand that Kate is missing her turtle, and that that is why she runs to the park. I am hesitant to add a voiceover because voiceovers often take away from the overall effect of a film. 

Our goal for the upcoming week is to choose music for the film and polish up the rough parts of the film. We also have to decide on an effect for Kate's friend Amy's death.
